The transcendentals—Truth, Goodness, and Beauty—are foundational concepts in classical philosophy and Catholic theology, serving as pathways to knowing and loving God. They reflect the nature of God Himself, as He is Truth. By pursuing the transcendentals, students engage their intellect, will, and imagination in ways that lead to authentic human flourishing and sanctity.
Goodness transforms the will, guiding students to moral integrity and self-giving love. As St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “Holiness grows so fast where there is kindness.”

"The fruit of our prayer today should be the conviction that our journey on earth, at all times and whatever the circumstances, is for God; that it is a treasure of glory, a foretaste of heaven, something marvellous, which has been entrusted to us to administer, with a sense of responsibility, being answerable both to men and to God." — St. Josemaria Escriva

Truth forms the intellect and encourages humility before reality. It equips students to discern falsehood and seek wisdom, as Proverbs declares: “Buy the truth, and sell it not” (Proverbs 23:23).

While advent is a joyful season, the Church also reminds us that it is a season of penitence; of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. The almsgiving piece of that puzzle is often difficult to remember, especially while Christmas Lists are being written. With that in mind, along with the hope that we can keep our school affordable and accessible, we are asking for your help with an Advent Almsgiving Campaign for Holy House Edmonton!
Please consider becoming a monthly donor and/or making an End-of-Year gift.
You can donate at edmonton.holyhouse.ca/donate !
All donations will receive charitable receipts.
