This note is for all of the students that graduated in 2016!
If you walked across the stage at grad there is a copy of the Graduation video that you can pick up at the school office which includes the official grad video, videos from the commencement ceremony, and photos taken at the event. For those of you that ordered Yearbooks they will arrive closer to the end of October and we will make an announcement again when that happens.

Dear Edmonton High Schools,
I am writing to you as the local Member of Parliament for Edmonton Mill Woods. I wanted to reach out to your students to invite them to apply to be part of the Edmonton Mill Woods Youth Council, a valuable opportunity to include youth voices in the political process. The Edmonton Mill Woods Youth Council will be composed of young Canadians between the ages of 15-24 who will meet several times each year with my office and me to discuss important issues that matter to youth, the community and the country. The deadline to apply is September 30, 2016 and it is open to all youth between the ages of 15-24.
Our hope is that this Youth Council will help promote civic engagement, educate youth on the Canadian political process, and invite the youth perspective on different topics ranging from electoral reform to access to education. The feedback gathered in this process will be used to understand the perspective of youth in the decisions the government makes.
Each member will also gain valuable leadership skills and earn volunteer hours. Each member will earn a certificate at the end of the Youth Council’s term. The length of the Youth Council’s term is a full general school year, spanning September 2016 to June 2017. The link to apply is https://goo.gl/forms/BBOxrdvJt9zVesSf2
Sincerely,
Hon. Amarjeet Sohi
