IT HAS FINALLY COME - The Mining Engineering Winter BBQ!

The BBQ will be on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 at 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 from 𝟰:𝟯𝟬𝗽𝗺-𝟳:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺! Food and refreshment will be provided. Feel free to bring all your friends and foe.

A handful of our students got the opportunity to see some underground equipment thanks to Amalgamated Mining Group! They got to ask questions, to the professionals, about maintenance, equipment selection and anything else they could think of, regarding underground equipment.

The Fall BBQ is on!
The BBQ is set for Friday, September 26th from 4:30-6:30PM at Emily Murphy Park. So come on down, enjoy some complimentary food, refreshments, games, and the opportunity to connect with students from different years of the discipline.

Whether you’re in trad or co-op, this is a fun, interactive event designed for you to learn about the different student opportunities offered at EVR! You’ll also get hands-on experience with mining challenges that demonstrate the innovative work they do. Connect with their recruiters and employees, win some cool prizes/merch, and of course, enjoy some good food.

Applications for this year’s Fort McMurray oil sands tour are open! This trip is a great experience for 2nd year students who have yet to get an opportunity to be on a mine site, or for those who would like an opportunity to network with professionals in the oil sands industry.

The Faculty of Engineering and Suncor-Syncrude have partnered to offer you the opportunity to visit their Fort McMurray oilsand sites from Wednesday, August 27 to Friday, August 29. Travel, accommodation, and meals will be provided free of charge for all participants. This trip will include guided tours through mines and tailings, as well as opportunities to network with oilsands professionals. More information, including requirements and the itinerary are available in the application form linked in our bio.

Steel-toed boots are recommended and encouraged, but steel toe rubber boots can be provided upon request. Additionally, some areas of the tour may be inaccessible for those who use accessibility devices. If this is of concern to you please contact [email protected].
