Look at all the ladybugs!
We were playing in the field and found so many little friends. We learned they really like to hide in pinecones and bury themselves in the grass. The children set to work building houses and safe hiding spots for these cool bugs!

WORMS!
Spring time brings so many cool opportunities to explore and interact with God's awesome creation.
The WillowWood students found lots of worms as they played in the rain this morning. They even made a "worm house" in the grass for the little wiggly creatures.
If you look closely, some of the worms are practicing letters 🙂.

The M/W/F class worked together to create Mat Man. Did you know he needs 16 body parts?

Class visitor, Peanut, checking out the caterpillars.
He thinks they're going to be green butterflies.
We can hardly wait!

We found a spider in our class last week. We think he was trying to stay warm.
After some initial fears and worry, we caught it and spent most of the day exploring spiders, examining the one we trapped, and even drawing spider portraits.
Did you know spiders eat mosquitoes? We like that because mosquitoes bite, so maybe spiders aren't so bad. They're helpers!
Child led spontaneous learning at its finest.
