This is a Queen Victoria garden cloche with a squash plant. It was amazing how it helped the squash grow. Other plants near by were less than half the size. It was slab built from sculpture clay. I fired it to cone 6 so that I can leave it out over the winter.

Clay sculpture Gaia garden planter 2.25 feet tall. It was slab built from sculpture clay and fired to stoneware temperature of cone 6.
Stained with manganese and Alberta slip. The cylinder was formed around a traffic cone and the head was thrown on the wheel and modified. It was heavy and hard to load into the kiln. I would make it in pieces next time and join them with concrete after firing.
