Steinway & Sons mourns the loss of Steinway Artist Alfred Brendel. He was the preeminent thinking pianist, a loner to whom fame came through the power of imaginative integrity, an artist who achieved a divinatory rapport with piano literature from Bach to Schoenberg.

Every expert was once a beginner who refused to give up. 🎹 This image beautifully captures the essence of persistence – the only way to get good at something is to keep going, even when it feels hard or imperfect. Whether it’s learning an instrument, a skill, or even life itself, progress comes from showing up day after day. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about refusing to stop. Keep practicing, keep growing, and trust the process. Mastery is just persistence in disguise. 🌟
