MIREMS Ltd. — Multilingual International Research and Ethnic Media Services — is a Canadian company with more than 30 years of experience helping the perspectives of language communities reach Canadian readers and decision-makers. We are hiring speakers of Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, or Finnish as Media Monitoring Consultants (contract): people who read the news from the Nordic countries, flag stories with Canadian relevance, and write short English summaries so those voices are part of the conversation in Canada.

The work is remote and part-time, paid per story and per source reviewed, with structured onboarding and mentorship from senior analysts. It suits people who already follow their homeland media — students, journalists, translators, researchers, and professionals working from home. Strong written English is required.

Would you circulate this to your students and alumni, including through your graduate list? Speakers of Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, and Finnish are all welcome.

Anyone interested can apply by emailing [email protected] with (1) a brief letter of interest of 500–800 words explaining why this work appeals to them, (2) a CV, and (3) a short note on their remote-work setup (own computer, reliable internet, and familiarity with everyday tools such as Word or Excel). Subject line: "WE Consultant — [Your Language]". Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority intake open through July 31, 2026.
