On May 28-29, our Executive attended the annual Mission Collaborative Initiative Summit, hosted by the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton. Catholic institutional leaders from across the province gathered to discuss the use of AI through the lens of Catholic social teaching. We were grateful to connect with so many individuals who are seeking to lead their respective organizations with wisdom.

Holy Trinity Sunday invites us to contemplate the central mystery of our faith: one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This feast reminds us that we are called into relationship, just as the Trinity itself is a perfect communion of love. As Catholic school trustees, we are entrusted with nurturing this same spirit of communion in our schools, where students, families, and staff come together as one community of faith. May the Trinity guide our decisions and inspire us to lead with wisdom and unity.

On May 25-26, our board is gathered for our May board meeting in Leduc, Alberta. It's been a time of prayerful discussion, productivity and, most of all, a desire to do all we can to ensure our Catholic school system is guided and animated by the Holy Spirit.
On this feast of Saint Philip Neri, we ask for his intercession!
Also, note the feature of our favorite, miniature board member :)

Come, Holy Spirit!
Pentecost, celebrated fifty days after Easter, marks the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Spirit transformed fearful disciples into bold witnesses of the Risen Christ.
Today, that same Spirit fills us with the grace and courage to proclaim the Gospel in our daily lives. As Catholic trustees, we are called to be examples of courageous proclaimers of the Gospel, emboldened by the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to Minister of Municipal Affairs, MLA Dan Williams for his presentation on Canadian Father of Confederation, Thomas D’Arcy McGee, and the history of Catholic education in Alberta.
Minister Williams presented to our trustees on May 20 at our online May Catholic Ed Talk and we are grateful for the insights he shared on the legacy of Catholicism and education in Alberta, going all the way back to Confederation.
