Our Kids ‘R’Us #1 Daycare and Afterschool children had an amazing field trip to Sassy G's Adventure Farm! Located just outside Spruce Grove, this massive 140,000-square-meter adventure farm was the perfect outdoor classroom for our kids.
Here are some of the highlights from our exciting day:
Bouncing out our endless energy on the giant jumping pillows!
Saying hello to the fluffy alpacas.
Safely observing the beautiful peacocks and giant emus in their enclosures.
Getting hands-on with nature and practicing gentle sensory exploration with the local bugs!
We love integrating outdoor activities, practical life skills, and sensory play into our early childhood programming to help our little ones grow and learn about the world around them.

Our little chefs are hard at work at Kids’R’Us Us Daycare #1! 🍌👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Today, we focused on building practical life skills through a fun, hands-on sensory play activity. The children practiced their fine motor coordination by carefully slicing bananas with child-safe tools, mashing them up, and stirring them into delicious yogurt cups!
Engaging in these types of food preparation activities is a fantastic way for our toddlers to explore new textures, develop independence, and gain confidence in their abilities. The best part? They got to enjoy a yummy, healthy snack that they made entirely by themselves! 🥣✨

Daycare and Afterschool! A huge, heartfelt thank you to the amazing folks at the Greater Edmonton Parrot Society for bringing a beautiful feathered friend to visit our kiddos.
The children were absolutely mesmerized! It was a magical, hands-on learning experience filled with pure joy.
Highlights of the day:
Gently touching and feeling the bright, colorful feathers.
The bravery and giggles as the children let the parrot sit right on their arms!
Learning all about our fascinating, winged visitor.

☀️ Bringing our own sunshine indoors today at Kids'R'Us Daycare #1! 🌻
Our little artists had a blast with this creative stamping activity. We upcycled cardboard rolls, dipped them in bright orange and yellow paint, and stamped the perfect sun rays! 🎨 To finish off their masterpieces, they practiced their grip and focus by drawing the sweetest smiley faces right in the center.
Activities like this are a staple in our daily curriculum planning because they are absolutely fantastic for developing fine motor skills, encouraging sensory exploration, and sparking imagination through practical hands-on fun. 💛

Big smiles and even bigger leaps! 🤸✨ Our little adventurers from Kids’R’Us Daycare and Afterschool #1 had an absolute blast exploring the Amazone Playzone today! From conquering the climbing walls to jumping high on the trampolines, it was a day full of non-stop fun and excitement.
