Meadowlark School invited Families to help celebrate the Chinese New Year! The students and staff worked hard to pull off this incredible event! We had the Dragon Dance, Lion Dance, Erhu performers and our choirs!

We finally have a name for our Green Keel Bellied Lizard. His name Bao Long 宝龙 which means Grumpy Dragon. We thought this name fit his personality!🦎🐲

Last spring, the Board of Trustees approved the 2024–25 school year calendar. Since then, Alberta Education has finalized its exam schedule and the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Board of Trustees ratified a new collective agreement. These developments have meant that changes were needed to the calendar.

On Tuesday, the Board of Trustees approved a new calendar.

SCHOOL YEAR STARTS EARLIER
The first day of classes will now be Thursday, August 29 for most Division schools. Teaching staff will return to work on Wednesday, August 28.

FALL BREAK ADDED
A fall break has been scheduled for November 8 to 13 for most schools.

A number of Professional Development (PD) days were shifted throughout the school year, and one was removed, to accommodate the changes.
