Pre-enrol your child earlier in 2024!
Every year, Edmonton Public Schools asks families to pre-enrol their children so schools can make sure the right supports are in place to welcome students each fall.
We wanted to let you know that, in 2024, the deadline to select your preferred school for the next school year will be earlier than usual. This change makes it easier for schools to plan the budgets and staffing they need to support students for the upcoming school year.
Between 8 a.m. on February 1 and 4 pm on March 22, 2024, you can sign in to your parent SchoolZone account to choose where you would like your child to attend school next fall. Whether it is with us at Steinhauer or another school, it is important to make your choice before the deadline.
Please visit at Edmonton Public School Board Website at: https://www.epsb.ca/schools/register/currentstudents/ for more information.

On April 12, 1980, Terry started his Marathon of Hope. Our next generation of students will continue Terry’s fight and lead this worthy cause towards his dream of a world without cancer.
On Friday, September 22 all classes in the school will be participating in a Run/Walk to commemorate Terry Fox. We will also be collecting toonies and loonies for the Terry Fox Foundation. Your child(ren) may bring in donations to school from September 18-22. He never gave up.
If you are new to Canada and have not heard of Terry Fox, you could watch this video:

Today is Pink Shirt Day! Thank you to everyone who took time today to choose something to wear to show those around you that you believe in acceptance, inclusion, diversity and anti-bullying.
Pink Shirt Day reminds students that they can:
-play with any toy or play any sport or game
-play with children of any gender
-wear any colour and style of clothes or hair
-be who they are and help others to do the same
-stop name-calling and discrimination
-make a difference
Today our students stopped by the KIND display in the library, where they had a chance to be the "I" in KIND. ❤
