As a family member of a Veteran, have you ever questioned what’s right? Or struggled with a lack of trust in humanity?
It can be incredibly difficult when you or someone close to you is deeply impacted by something known as moral injury. This kind of injury arises when you witness or are part of something that clashes with your personal morals, ethics, or values.
While moral injury is often associated with Veterans themselves, researchers in Canada are now exploring how it might also affect their family members—whether it be a partner, a spouse, a sibling, an adult child, or a close companion.
Your experiences and insights could be invaluable in helping us better understand this issue and the unique challenges family members' face. We’d love to hear your story and learn more about the kinds of support or interventions that could make a difference for you or those close to you.
