We sent out a newsletter today. Our last newsletter! And all the links in it failed 😣. We can't fix it because we closed our newsletter account. Permanently. It's an excuse to pivot, right? 7 more days! 🗓️ Sunday, June 14 is the day we'll be spending with our dear friend, Ann Budd, knitting for a cause! Ann will host a day long zoom session, knitting her Fading Memories Cowl from sunup to sundown as a fundraising event for Alzheimers Research. You are invited! Keep reading to see all the ways you can participate and contribute:
1️⃣ Purchase Ann’s pattern for the Fading Memories Cowl 2026 on Ravelry. $5 USD from every pattern purchase will go to the fundraiser.
2️⃣ Purchase your project yarn from a participating shop or dyer. Barb & Cynthia are using “Wildflowers - Fading Memories” and “Opal - Fading Memories”, dyed by Catherine Gamroth of Gauge Dyeworks (Vancouver, BC). $5 USD from each of these special “fading memories” skeins will be sent to the fundraiser.
3️⃣ Invite your friends to participate and/or to sponsor you.
4️⃣ Donate directly to Ann’s fundraising page. She will be drawing a name from donors who pledge $50 USD or more to win a very special prize.

Barb & Cynthia want to invite you to get away from it all and meet up in 🇵🇹 Portugal. We'll be hosted by Sofia for five days in the lovely town of Monsaraz. We'll visit Paula Neves' Merino sheep, learn the Portuguese knitting style from Maria G and experiment with Felting Wool in Barb & Cynthia's fantastic felted slippers workshop. We'll eat wholesome food, take long walks, visit local artisans and put all of our worries away while we focus on calm and creativity in a pastoral setting. Dates: October 28 - November 1, 2026.
