Only 33% of teen boys and just 8% of teen girls are meeting Canada's physical activity recommendation. Let those numbers sink in.

These aren't numbers to just push to the side, it's a crisis happening right before our eyes, and it's showing up in classrooms, programs and homes across Canada.

At Ever Active, we know the solution isn't an easy one. It's about creating more access, more opportunity and more communities willing to make healthier futures for EVERY kid.

Last week, we helped support the very first School Streets initiative at St. Leo Catholic Elementary School! 💚

More than 250 students, families, and community members came together to transform the school street into a vibrant place to walk, roll, play, and connect.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create a safer, healthier, and more connected school community. Together, we're showing what's possible when we make space for active transportation, play, and belonging. Special thanks to Green Communities Canada and Centre d'écologie urbaine for their funding and support in this initiative!

What an incredible few days in the Yukon! 💚

Our team was proud to support Yukon School Sports for two days of track and field before wrapping up the week with our very own Fun Run for elementary students.

Over the course of three days, nearly 1,300 students joined in the fun! Running, cheering each other on, trying their best, and enjoying the beautiful Yukon weather.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success, and a special thank you to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for supporting opportunities that help young people build confidence, stay active, and create lasting memories.

We can’t wait to be back!

Update: Due to unforeseen weather circumstances and considering school division procedures, the school has decided to cancel the School Street activities scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, from 7:30–8:30 AM and 2:30–3:30 PM. At this time, we are still hopeful conditions will improve for School Streets on June 4, 2026.

It's School Streets Week!

We're so excited to kick off our first School Streets initiative at St. Leo Catholic Elementary School in Edmonton this week. Friendly reminder that School Streets is a National Active School Streets Initiative (NASSI) that uses a temporary road closure in front of the school to create a safer, more welcoming space for students and families while reducing traffic congestion.

Thanks to Green Communities Canada and Centre d'écologie urbaine for their delivery and partnership in this project!
