Congratulations to Diana Jackson for winning Rookie of the Year for Division C. This award is to recognize and honour a
new Toastmaster who demonstrates a strong commitment to the Toastmasters standards of excellence.
Diana is very active in the Oxbridge Orators Toastmasters club. She is based in Dar es Salaam Tanzania where the time difference is 9 to 10 hours ahead of Mountain time depending on the time of the year. Hence, she attends our midday meetings when it's close to midnight in Dar es Salaam. All in all, she has only missed a couple meetings since joining.
Since Diana has been with the club, she has made more than 7 formal presentations. She has also participated in numerous Table-Topics discussions and has made a number of impromptu speeches. Diana has also actively participated in various roles in Toastmasters meetings - from timer to toastmaster of the meeting. To date, she has invited 7 guests to the Oxbridge Orators' meetings. One is now
a full member of a local club in Dar es Salaam. Diana was also instrumental in arranging for a guest to visit from a sister club in St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
Diana is an outstanding member of Oxbridge Orators and most deserving of the Rookie of the Year award.
