Our WERC High Level participants had the opportunity to tour the Town of High Level Water Treatment Plant, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at the essential work that keeps the community running.
The tour gave participants a greater appreciation for the process of providing clean, safe water and offered valuable insight into the many career opportunities and skilled professionals behind this important service.

Our WERC Calgary participants have been hard at work building benches for the outside of our worksite, gaining valuable hands-on experience while creating something that will be enjoyed by everyone who visits.
Hands-on opportunities like this give our participants the chance to apply and strengthen their construction skills in a real-world setting. By working on meaningful projects, they gain practical experience, build confidence, and develop the knowledge and work-ready skills needed for success in the construction industry. Our WERC Whitecourt participants recently designed and built a custom lemonade stand for the Whitecourt Early Learning and Child Care to support their recent fundraiser. 🍋
This hands-on project gave participants the opportunity to apply their construction skills while creating something that will benefit the community. We were thrilled to stop by and see the stand in action, and were incredibly grateful for the warm welcome from the Centre's staff and students.
A special thank you to Whitecourt Transport for generously donating the delivery of the lemonade stand and helping bring this project to life. Partnerships like these create meaningful opportunities for our participants while making a positive impact in our communities. 🧡
