Terra Centre for Teen Parents

More than 200 community members gathered at Promising Futures to stand alongside teen parents and their children.

During our signature fundraiser, we heard powerful stories resilience and determination to overcome barriers.

Guests were inspired by Emily, who shared her journey as a young parent and the impact Terra had on her family. We also heard from Terra alumna Debi and her daughter Jennifer, whose story demonstrated the lasting, generational impact that support can have. Nearly 50 years after receiving support from Terra as a teen parent, Debi's experience remains a testament to what is possible when young families are given the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout the evening, we were reminded that teen parents want what all parents want: healthy children, opportunities to succeed, and hope for the future.

Connecting at Family Night

Family Night brought together parents, children, and staff for an evening of crafts, outdoor fun, good food, and shared experiences. We love opportunities to gather, play, and connect especially when theres a chance to also get outside.

Garden Day was a huge hit! Families gathered outdoors to plant, play, and celebrate as part of an incredible community of students, parents, teachers, early childhood educators, and support staff.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Garden Day such a meaningful celebration of community, growth, and the achievements of the school year.

Earlier this spring, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help refresh and care for the garden and playground areas, creating welcoming spaces to be enjoyed.

This week, Braemar students, teachers and school staff, our team members, and Early Childhood Educators will gather in these spaces to celebrate a year of hard work, growth, and achievement.

Thank you to the volunteers whose efforts helped prepare the spaces where this year's celebrations will unfold. We look forward to sharing snap-shots of some of special moments all this hard work helped create.

Today, on Early Childhood Educator Day, we are proud to celebrate Terra’s incredible Early Childhood Educator team and the important role they play in the lives of children and families.

At Terra, children are at the heart of our work. Our ECE team helps create spaces where children feel safe, supported, curious, and connected. Through intentional care, responsive environments, and meaningful relationships with both children and parents, they help build the foundation for healthy development the most important years of a child’s life.

Our educators help young families feel welcomed, encouraged, and understood. They celebrate milestones, support emotional growth, create opportunities for learning through play, and help foster a sense of belonging for every child and parent who walks through our doors.

We are deeply grateful for the compassion, patience, creativity, and dedication our ECE team brings each and every day.

Each year, parents at Braemar School, are celebrated on Mother’s Day.

They show up for their children, work hard toward their goals, and, when they stumble, they keep going because they know what it’s all for.
