This November marks a very special milestone — 10 years of Miles of Smile Childcare Center!
A full decade of laughter, learning, and love. ❤️

When I opened our doors ten years ago, I had one dream — to create a place where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to grow. Looking back today, I am filled with pride and gratitude for how far we’ve come together.

🌟 To our incredible educators — thank you for your passion, dedication, and the heart you bring every single day. You are the foundation of everything we do. Your creativity, patience, and commitment to nurturing young minds have shaped this center into one of the best in Edmonton.

🌟 To our wonderful families — thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift. Your partnership, support, and faith in our vision have been the biggest driving force behind our success.

🌟 To our amazing children — you are the reason we do what we do. Your curiosity, joy, and bright smiles remind us daily why early learning matters so much. Watching you grow and thrive has been the greatest reward of all.

The toddlers had a blast during their Valentine’s Day Indoor Picnic.❤️❤️❤️

After sharing a story about Arctic animals, some of the toddlers became interested on penguins and were thrilled when I set up this sensory play activity.

From making Christmas ornaments to decorating Christmas trees. Toddlers worked hard for this but it’s worth it.

Ore preschool children created some mini "trees" during free play time using materials of their choice.

Our Preschool age children have been exploring stacking for the past month. It's fascinating to see the different ways the same child explores the same materials.

November 1st. Our Educators participated in a professional development day. We spent the morning looking at Loose Parts Play books to inspire our trip to the Reuse Center in the afternoon. We exchanged ideas before heading out and came back with some different material for our children to explore.

Our focus was on sustainable futures and how we can provide new experiences (books and material) without purchasing anything!

We value the importance of creating a responsive outdoor environment for our children by creating opportunities for them to explore their capabilities as mighty learners.
