of love.
YOU WERE BORN WORTHY.
Where were you the day everything changed?
Do you remember the weeks that followed?
Streets deserted.
School cancelled.
Toilet paper ravaged.
Work from home for now...
It would only be a few weeks and
We'll be back in business by the summer
Yet, here we sit, an entire year later, still very much living through a global pandemic.
We've lost people, too many people.
We've lost our sense of normalcy.
We've lost connection.
We've lost trust.
Like other traumatic events, anniversaries can be hard. Give yourself some extra space to feel this week.
Allow yourself to grieve who we've lost.
Allow yourself to grieve what you have lost.
Allow yourself to grieve anytime it feels heavy.
Then acknowledge how strong you've been
and choose to keep moving forward.
Like you always have, because we need you.
The world might look different now but
we're still in this together. ๐
After giving yourself space to grieve and release those tears.
โจ Ask yourself what part YOU played โจ
Sounds counter intuitive right?
They did the thing, now I have to look at myself? WTF?!!
BUT...
You will never be able to control the actions of others so why not take the sh*tty thing that happened and ask yourself how you will protect that beautiful heart of yours next time.
The culprit is often...
โจ weak or non-existent boundaries
โจ people pleasing
โจ not communicating your needs
โจ ignoring red flags (and your intuition)
โจ saying yes when you mean no
We can't change what happened, but we can learn from it. We're human, heartbreak is guaranteed, but let's not experience the same one over and over again, Mmmmk?
Deprivation leads to binging โก binging leads to shame โก shame leads to guilt โก guilt leads to deprivation โก deprivation leads to binging โก binging leads to shame โก shame leads to guilt โก guilt leads to deprivation....
= disordered eating.
STOP this cycle.
There are no bad foods.
You are not bad for eating french fries.
You are not good for eating salads.
Your worth is innate.
Recognizing your language is the first step ๐
Self love ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ simply treating yourself to bubble baths and loving your God-given body (although both can be a result of self love).
Self love ๐ถ๐ making sure your mind, your heart, and your soul are happy. So how do we do that? Start by checking in with how well you know yourself.

How well do you know your emotions? Are they being understood, avoided, or worse, repressed? Do you turn away from your pain or ask it what its purpose is? Do you know what makes your heart happy? Do you protect that beautiful heart of yours from bullying and self harm? Have you learned from your heartbreak? Do you open your heart to those undeserving of your love? Have you forgiven yourself?

How's relationship with your thoughts? Are you listening to ancient conditioning or conscious thought? Do intrusive thoughts barge in unchecked? Do you know what thoughts are ego and which are your truth? Do you berate yourself internally and externally (hello self deprecating humor!)? Do you celebrate and congratulate yourself on your accomplishments? Are you kind to yourself? Do you compare yourself to others?

How's your inner peace? Do you honor your inner child? Have you started offering her healing? Do you know what brings her joy? Do you offer yourself the kind of love she always deserved? Do you trust the protection of your ancestors? Do you allow their support to guide you? Do you connect with a higher power? Do you feel alone in this world or a part of a collective? Do you know who you're meant to be?
To love someone unconditionally is to know them entirely. So tell me, how well do you know yourself? Where do you need to do the work to understand yourself better?

The Full Moon is today and it's all about completion โ cleansing, releasing, and removing what no longer serves you. Using a Full or New Moon ritual can help create the space for you to be honest with yourself about what is and isn't working in your life.
