You might have seen a familiar face on the news last night! Past CCI North Alberta chapter president Anand Sharma talked to a CBC reporter about illegal dumping and general waste services concerns.

We appreciate his dedication to giving interviews while standing in front of garbage as many times as it takes to get this issue resolved!

You can find the City of Edmonton's report and recommendations on illegal dumping here:

If every board meeting feels frustrating, the problem usually isn’t the agenda.

Not bylaws. Not budgets. Not pets or parking.

More often, it comes down to communication, trust, and clarity on roles.

When expectations between boards and managers are unclear, decisions stall, trust breaks down, and small frustrations turn into bigger conflicts.

The Community & Communication Learning Stream at ACE helps boards build stronger working relationships through better communication, clearer accountability, and practical tools for navigating conflict.

Featured Session: Board & Manager Dynamics: Roles, Trust & Communication

You’ll learn how to:
✔ Clarify board and manager responsibilities
✔ Improve trust and decision-making
✔ Reduce friction with stronger communication systems

Also in this stream:
• Community Communication Strategies for Boards & Managers
• Dealing with Difficult People: Tools for Conflict & Communication

⏰ Conference registration closes April 30 at midnight.

The Buildings & Property Learning Stream at ACE helps condo boards stay ahead of risk with practical, technical sessions designed for real-world decision-making.

Featured Session: Code Compliance in Action

You’ll learn how to:
✔ Understand key regulatory updates and requirements
✔ Work effectively with consultants and document compliance
✔ Manage risk proactively and plan budgets with confidence
