It took me a few years to figure it out, but ...... 𝗜 𝗗𝗜𝗗

✅ I needed to go on my laptop and learn what these

What’s all this online connectivity

With Ads, Social Media and Sales

Complicated? Confusing? Complex?

𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋

✅ It’s very simple

✅ A lot easier than learning trade

✅ And much more profitable then working in one

The beauty is

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐎 𝐈𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐎

It’s simple and easy to learn and enjoyable

Takes 𝐍𝐎 time to do

𝐈𝐒 very lucrative

Once you go online with YOUR CONSULTING business

You will never look back

Other then to wonder why you took so long to take action

Do you find yourself walking mindlessly at work

I remember when I was in my 20’s working as a machinist 6 years into the trade

Thinking to myself “I need to start my own machine shop”

Guess what I did……

I opened my first machine shop a year later with my high school friend

After 1 year in business and a failed partnership, I sold my interest in that business and went onto my own to start a welding shop business

Fast forward several years later both mine and my friend’s companies were bankrupt and out of multi-thousands of dollars

Worst part of all this story is the money was not only ours; most came from family

What a feeling of devastation and defeat

Lesson learnt ………..

“You don’t need MONEY to start a business”

WHY

You only need to know how

If you don’t ……….

Ask somebody that knows

Are you surrounding yourself with the right people?

When I think back at all the years working in the trades and construction and the long days spent to get the job done and completed on time

✅ I now wonder; what was I thinking……..

✅ I wasn’t doing it because of the great money I would earn,

✅ It wasn’t because of the time off I would get after the job

✅ It wasn't because I loved it sooo much

✅ It wasn't because I was changing someone life

𝐍𝐎, 𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓

I was doing it because

I WANTED TO OWN MY BUSINESS

I knew if I worked hard and did the right thing

ONE DAY

I would own a multi million dollar business with many employees (and I did)

I HAD

A president to run the company

A number of other companies

And many investments

Little did I know that would never have all my free time and Financial Independence

Even though my contracting company was able to earn multi 7 figures

Grew my business to over 30 employees

Hired a operations manager

A office manager

Supervisors and support staff

𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗨𝗣……. 𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗨𝗣……. 𝗪𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗨𝗣

THERE WAS NEVER FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE OR ALL THE FREE TIME

REALITY IS

20% of new businesses fail during the first 2 years
45% fail during the first 5 years
65% fail during the first 10 years

AND ONLY 25% MAKE IT TO 15 YEARS

The average business owner salary is $59,000 per year. Included in those numbers are bonuses, profit sharing, and commissions

WHY, WHY, WHY

Poor management, Recessions, Inflation, Challenges in varying markets and industries

Gross sales against cost of goods sold are always fluctuating

Overhead costs

Wages, Employees, Attrition

And the list goes on and on and on

In a commodity market it’s always going to be about price & quality

AND A RACE TO THE BOTTOM

IS THIS THE BUSINESS YOU ARE IN or WANT TO BE IN?

If you want to make it in business

You will NEED to continually offer more value

𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐑𝐄 struggling to have your customer break down your doors to buy from you

𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐑𝐄 struggling to supply your customers with products or services
