New study from our colleagues in the Speech Language Pathology Assistant program at MacEwan University: Do you have a child between the age of 3-10 years with English as the home language? Do you notice that they have at least 1 speech sound that is different from the adult pronunciation? If so, this could be a fun study for you and your child. See details below.

New Study! Parents' singing is an important part of everyday caregiving and play in the early years.
We are interested to learn about the features of parents' singing that children (3 to 5 years old) find memorable.
We will need your singing samples (mom and dad) for a game-like task in which your child will listen and identify the singer of the play song.
As a token of our appreciation, your child will receive a $15 gift card to Amazon, Indigo Books, or GameStop.

The study can be completed within 30 minutes and virtual appointments will be scheduled at your convenience. Children will receive a $10 gift card to Indigo Bookstore, EB Games, or Amazon as a token of our appreciation. Thank you for your interest in our research and we look forward to hearing from you!

Thoughts from a 4-year-old artist and learner with Early Learning at MacEwan
Sand is usually in the playground, but here it’s on the floor. I got to make two sculptures in the sand. It was awesome. I used pipe cleaners and glitter and rainbow colours.
This was a fun day. I want to do this again at home, but I don’t think I have the right materials. When I go home I’m going to tell my mom about this.
– Sam, age 4, artist and mighty learner with Early Learning at MacEwan (ELM)
