Students from our Digital Design program recently went on a field trip to Berlin Communications for a firsthand look at the type of work their education could lead to!

Justin and the team at Berlin were such welcoming hosts, giving students a glimpse into the inner workings of some of Berlin’s campaigns and their interior space, as well as a chance to meet with the designers.

Our students left feeling inspired, and we thank the Berlin team for this amazing opportunity!

Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a moment to honour survivors, remember those impacted by residential schools, learn the truths of our shared history, and commit to actions that advance reconciliation throughout the year.

We wear orange shirts on this day to honour the survivors and victims of residential schools. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced. This day reminds us that Every Child Matters.

is an opportunity to recognize the trauma and legacy of Canada’s history of residential schools, and also to recommit to reconciliation and dialogue.

Earlier this week we held our Student Services Information Fair. Various service areas from around NorQuest College were on hand to raise awareness of the services, supports, and resources available to learners both while they are studying, and after they graduate 🙂

Yesterday, we held an event to officially launch our new Student Health and Wellness Centre (formerly the Centre for Growth and Harmony) and sign the Recovery-Friendly Campus (RFC) Pledge in partnership with Recovery on Campus Alberta.

The Student Health and Wellness Centre provides integrated health, counselling, nursing, and wellness services that help students thrive throughout their educational journey at NorQuest College. The RFC pledge supports this effort by committing to a campus culture where recovery is understood and stigma is reduced.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate NorQuest's holistic approach to student wellbeing and reflect the college's belief that physical health, mental health, and belonging are essential to learner success.
