Last week, we were proud to host the 10th anniversary celebration of the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. MacEwan provides space for the school, offering free after-school music education for approximately 150 students in Grades 4–12 who have limited access to traditional music programs.
The evening was made even more special by the presence of Sarah McLachlan, whose vision for accessible music education continues to create opportunities for young people. Watching students perform was a powerful reminder of the impact that can be achieved when community organizations work together to remove barriers and invest in potential.
We are proud to support a partnership that helps young musicians develop their skills, confidence and love of music.

“After leaving Tanzania to study in Canada at MacEwan, I found more than an education – I found a community that believed in me. Coming back in different roles has allowed me to help shape future leaders in the same place that helped me discover my own potential.” – Nooshin Walji, Leadership Education Specialist, Student Life
