Entertainment - lion dance and Chinese dance - for the 17th Annual ECBEA Awards ceremony was provided by Parkview and Londonderry Junior High Schools. These vibrant cultural activities are performed and enjoyed in our schools and at public events.

New to ECBEA Scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year is the Yuet Wan Cultural Association Culture Award for grade 9 students. Presented by Master Chun Lee who has taught lion dance and drumming for many years to students in Edmonton's Chinese Bilingual Program. Congratulations to all!

Another culture scholarship is the ECBEA Wong Bark Ging & Young See Memorial Culture Award. It was sponsored and presented by Wei Wong, ECBEA Past President at the 17th Annual ECBEA Award Ceremony at City Hall on May 3, 2026.

The ECBEA Wendy Lam Realtor Culture Award was presented by Past Director Julia Nhan to grade 6 and junior high students for the 2024-2025 school year.

The ECBEA Voun Tack Yee-Hai Memorial Academic Awards were presented by Deanna Hai, alumni of the Chinese Bilingual Program and Dr. Terry Mah. This award has been offered since 2016 to straight A students in senior high school.

The ECBEA University of Alberta, China Institute Academic Award has been awarded since 2009. The Institute's support of Edmonton's Chinese Bilingual Program is much appreciated as it inspires students to excel in Chinese language acquisition and culture appreciation. The 2024-2025 school year awards were presented by ECBEA Past President Wei Wong (1993-1994) and ECBEA Vice President Andrew Kwan.

ECBEA Secretary Wale Azumat presented the ECBEA Under the Rockies Chinese Writing Group Award at City Hall on May 3, 2026.
