What would you do with more freedom in your work life?

Maybe you’d spend more time with your family.
Maybe you’d finally pursue that business idea you’ve been carrying around.
Or maybe you’d simply want more say in how you spend your days.

That’s one of the exciting parts of owning your own business. 🚀

You’re building something that’s yours, on your terms, toward the future you want.

If you owned your own business, what would you want more freedom to do? 👇

Before there was ACTI, there was Paul Anderson. 🤎 Paul’s journey began in 1992, when he started his own business.

September 1996 was the very first SE Class 1.
Then in 1998, Anderson Career Training Institute officially launched.

What started with one entrepreneur and a vision grew into a community where other entrepreneurs could learn, grow, build confidence, and turn their ideas into something real. For more than 30 years, Paul has been at the heart of that journey.

Now, he’s stepping into retirement and passing the next chapter of ACTI to Dart Wooden.

While this marks a new chapter for ACTI, Paul’s legacy will always be part of its story. The foundation he built has given generations of entrepreneurs a place to learn, connect, and take the next step toward building something of their own. ❤️

Paul, thank you for everything you’ve built, everything you’ve taught, and all the people you’ve encouraged along the way.

From all of us at ACTI, we wish you an awesome retirement, Paul! 🎉

And if you’ve been learned something awesome from Paul over the years, what’s one memory of Paul or ACTI that you’ll always remember? 👇

You don’t have to be a “sales person” to learn how to sell. 👀

In fact, you don’t even have to like selling.
You just need to learn how to talk about what you do with confidence. 💙

Good selling isn’t about being pushy. It’s about understanding your customer, communicating your value, navigating objections, and knowing how to confidently move a conversation forward.

Because when you believe in what you’re building, you deserve to feel confident talking about it.

ACTI’s three-day sales class helps entrepreneurs turn that confidence into practical skills they can use in their businesses, from finding opportunities to handling objections to closing the deal.

And this is just one of the many practical entrepreneurship classes included in the ACTI Self-Employment Program. 🚀

What can an entrepreneur learn from a business that didn’t go according to plan? A lot. 👀

ACTI is proud to sponsor Fu**Up Nights YEG, an Edmonton event where entrepreneurs and business leaders share the real stories behind their setbacks, mistakes, pivots, and hard-earned lessons.

And we’re especially excited to see Shelby Eloria , one of ACTI’s instructors, take the stage. 🎤

Because entrepreneurship isn’t a highlight reel.

It’s trying, learning, adapting, and sometimes getting things wrong before figuring out what works.

That’s why conversations like these matter. They remind entrepreneurs that setbacks aren’t the end of the story. Sometimes, they’re where the biggest lessons begin. 🚀
