Designed for little explorers aged 2-5, our programs are tailored to nurture their curiosity and prepare them for a thriving journey into Kindergarten. With classes for 2-3-year-olds on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11:15, and for 3-5-year-olds on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the same time, there's a perfect fit for every family. 🍎🎒

We believe in making quality education accessible, which is why our tuition is subsidized. Plus, we value your time and commitment to your family, so volunteer duties are minimal and there are no mandatory class responsibilities. 🙌

Be sure to pop in tody or tomorrow to meet our teachers and get a sense of the space! Your children will have fun playing!

We had a blast at our last day of play school - fun day! Complete with bouncy castles, ice cream and even a fun visit from our local firefighters!

Arts and crafts help our children in more ways than we may realize. Bringing out their artistic side increases: motor skills, literacy, math concepts, creativity, and increased self-esteem Our centre loves bringing out this side in the children we get to educate. We still have some spots left in our 2/3 class and our 3/4 class. Be sure to register to get your spot!

As our playschool has shifted, we have found we have an overflow of toys, games and puzzles. As such, we thought it would be fun (and a good way to raise some funds for new things for the 2022/2023 year) to have an "Overflow Toy Sale". From June 7 - 15th, there will be a selection of toys, puzzles and board games at the snack table. Be sure to browse and pick up some fun activities for your children for the summer months. New inventory will be added daily. All we are asking for is 1,2 or 5 pending on the item. Kathryn and Gillian will keep track of who takes what. :)

WECP is excited to invite you to an ‘in person’ open house on Thursday March 3/22. WECP is a Playschool that has been operating out of the Rio Terrace Moravian church for over 34 years. Nestled in this peaceful river valley community, this ‘learn through play’ program offers experienced teachers, beautiful out door space and a program rich in literature, science experiments and project based art. Please register for a time slot to come and visit our facility. We offer Tuesday/Thursday classes for 2 and 3 year olds and M/W/F classes for 3 1/2 and 4 year olds.

WECP is licensed to receive the new Affordability Grants from the Province of Alberta. This reduces your fees by $75 per month! There is also additional funding for certain family income brackets. Playschool is as inexpensive as ever! See the below link for more information on the funding available!
