The month of Mawlid of beloved Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam has started. Mawlid can be a great occassion and opportunity for uniting and strengthening the ummah. Let the Mawlid be a source of profound personal and collective spiritual uplifting and boosting of morals, as celebrating the Prophet as a mercy for humankind is nothing but a recommendation from Allah and an expression of love toward the prophet (PBUH).

Congatulations to my Masters Student MD Asad Ullah on successfully defending his thesis and completion of his Masters from Mechanical Engineering at Qatar University. The title of Asad's thesis was "AN ANGIOGENIC AND ANTIBACTERIAL GELMA MICRONEEDLE ARRAY PATCH FOR DIABETIC WOUND HEALING". His work resulted in publications of several research and review papers in international journals and contribution toward a US patent.

As a recognition of his research work Asad also received the thesis award from college of engineering as one of the best thesis. Earlier Asad completed his BSc in Biomedical Engineering Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). My prayers and best wishes for Asad for a bright career ahead.

It is my pleasure to congratulate my Masters student Ibrahim Al Jundi on defending and successful completion of his Masters thesis. Ibrahim's thesis was on "SELF-HEALING HYBRID SILICA NANOPARTICLES FOR ENHANCEMENT OF POLYURETHANE COATING ANTICORROSION PROPERTIES". Thanks to Dr Abdul Shakoor from Center for Advanced Materials (CAM) in Qatar University for his great support to Ibrahim throughout his research in the capacity of Co-supervisor. Earlier, Ibrahim completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan.

A whole hearted congratulations to all IEB Qatar EC and all members for organizing such a wonerful Technical Seminar and Family Reunion. It was an amazing get together. Thank you very much everyone for your great efforts in making the event a great success.
