Big Thanks! Earlier in June, Downtown Edmonton Rotary Club Members presented two donations to us. This included a $5,000 donation from The Edmonton Rotary Club Foundation to support the school's Food Program and our 2026 graduation. And a $2,000 donation from the Downtown Edmonton Rotary Club, to further help the school's grad event.

We thank the Rotarians who visited us: Rod Karius, Club President Elect. Jason Bossert, Neil Lang and JJ Tremblay — and ALL Rotary Downtown members who continue to support the youth we serve. 🙌

Our Outdoor Education crew spent the day exploring the incredible wetland ecosystems at Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park. There is no better way to learn about environmental stewardship and local biodiversity than by getting your boots on the ground at Big Lake. Students enjoyed identifying birds and watching storm cells pass by (only getting a little wet)!

Our Youth Engagement team recently participated in team building exercises and tours at Norquest and YOUCAN. Our thanks to Shawna at Norquest and Ryan and Jamie at YOUCAN for inviting us! 😍

On Monday there was a special Outreach volleyball game with pizza and volleyball against a team called 'The Saturday Exclusives'. Shoutouts to staffers Megan, Francis and Jasmine for helping make this happen. Thanks also to Ajeay for helping serve pizza dinner and Ava for being the official scorekeeper. Special BIG thanks to Nico and the Saturday Exclusives for agreeing to come down and play volleyball with the youth! What a fun night.

Direct Democracy...
Students and staff can participate in a Social 30 final student project tomorrow and Thursday. Cast your votes by secret ballot on 3 issues on those two days. The issues will be posted outside the Social classroom downstairs. Results will be announced in Thursday’s lunch circle. ❎
