On July 4, 2026, I had to say goodbye to my little hedgehog, Puck. He was only 18 months old, and my heart is absolutely broken.

Puck was the shyest little guy with the biggest attitude. Most of the time he preferred to stay tucked away, but when he'd finally peek his tiny face out, he was the cutest little creature. He loved sprinting on his wheel, and every night he'd somehow manage to burrow himself under what felt like five blankets that he'd piled up all by himself.

For such a tiny hedgehog, he had some pretty big adventures. He got to explore the mountains, visit the park, and experience so much more than I ever imagined a little hedgehog would.

Thank you for all the laughs, the late-night wheel zoomies, the tiny snoot peeking out from your blanket fort, and all the joy you brought into my life. You may have been small, but you left an enormous hole in my heart.

Run free, sweet Puck. I'll miss you forever. 🦔
