[ANNOUNCEMENT]

Hey, y'all!

Unfortunately, due to the new provincewide COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Albertan government, the UofA has just announced that in-campus social events and activities will be PAUSED until further notice.

Per the announcement, it is with a heavy heart that MASA is officially canceling the Malaysia Day event on September 18th, 2021. We understand that many of you were excited about this event, but we'll have more details regarding future (virtual) events to share soon, so stay tuned!

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hey there folks,

I hope you're having a good year so far! We would first like to apologize for disappearing and going on a hiatus without officially announcing it. We were hoping that it would be a short break but turned out to be almost a year and a half due to Covid surge. Now that we’re back, we’ll be sure to keep you posted with events or updates we have! In the meantime, please feel free to contact us if you have any inquiries. This especially goes for first years who have just joined MASA. We are here to assist you in anyway possible.

I’m also here to inform you about MASA’s Discord server. During a time when face-to-face interaction and social gatherings aren’t allowed anymore, the goal of this server is to encourage our members to connect, stay in touch and talk with other Malaysians virtually throughout the year. As the saying goes: “Stay together while remote.” 🥰 First years are more than welcome to ask any questions that you might have about travelling to Canada etc. in the server. We hope to see everyone there! 💞
