The UASU Bike Library & Workshop is more than just a place to fix your bike. It’s a community space powered by an incredible team of volunteers who help keep cycling accessible on campus.

Whether you’re repairing a flat, learning how to maintain your bike, or giving your ride a tune-up, our volunteers and Bike Library Mechanic are here to guide you through the process. Repair stands and tools are always free to use, and we stock affordable new and used tubes, tires, and other cycling essentials to help get you back on the road.
Need a bike? You can also rent one through the Bike Library, making it even easier to get around campus and the city.

Want to make a real impact on campus?

We’re looking for Sustainable Leaders to help shape sustainability initiatives at the U of A. You’ll gain hands-on leadership experience, develop volunteer management skills, support the Eco Ambassadors, and work alongside the Sustain SU Coordinator to create a more sustainable campus.

What to expect:
• 5–7 hours per week throughout the academic year
• Lead and support the Eco Ambassadors
• Build leadership and volunteer management experience
• Help run sustainability initiatives and events
• Bi-weekly and monthly meetings

Congratulations to Samira Schultz, the winner of the Louise Veillard Social Justice Activism Award for the 2025/26 school year!

Samira is a BA Honours Political Science student, who has been involved in social activism on campus through the UABSA and WIPS. This award helps remind her that even with her busy life, her efforts have made a difference in the community. She credits this award as helping her reconnect with her purpose, and as a reminder of the values that first drew Samira into her line of work.
