Canada Day crafts session was a blast! Starting with creating the Canadian flag and decorating it with stickers and stamps, also learning about Canadian symbols. It's wonderful that the kids got creative with loose parts and it shows how open-ended activities can spark creativity and imagination. It's wonderful to see children taking the initiative to make their own shapes and signs, turning the activity into a personalized and engaging experience. Open-ended activities like these not only promote creativity but also allow for individual expression and exploration. Everyone had a great time!

We had a wonderful learning experience exploring Canadian symbols, particularly the Inuksuk. One of our student simplified the concept of an Inuksuk, a traditional Inuit stone landmark used for navigation and communication. By incorporating hands-on activities such as crafting with rocks from their loose parts bin, the children engaged in active learning through play. This approach, which includes reading, watching, discussing, and creating, fosters deeper engagement and understanding of the topic. That's the beauty of early education being so interactive and creative! enjoy the video.

Engaging in activities like cutting fruits and vegetables not only promotes the development of fine motor skills but also enhances creativity and imagination through open-ended play. It allows children to explore different scenarios and experiment with various combinations, fostering cognitive development. Dennis had a great time during the activity He said: "look I am cutting apple like you". Role-playing like this not only fosters imagination but also strengthens social and language skills as children communicate and interact with others during play. Role play isn’t just a fun activity for children, it also benefits a child’s development! Young children learn through play.

It was Provider’s appreciation day today. Providers often play a crucial role in our lives, whether it's healthcare providers, educators, or others. It's great to take a moment to appreciate their hard work and dedication.
to celebrate Provider's Appreciation Day! We did Crafting combine with with sensory activities that are not only fun but also stimulate creativity and development plus its a great way to develop fine motor skills. Dennis was so focused and attentive during the activities! Paying attention to detail shows not only concentration but also an appreciation for the task at hand. He enjoyed coloring this beautiful wooden hanging butterflies for the me and the dayhome. Thanks you Dennis ❤️

Open ended sensory play with our most favorite and some loose parts. . Dennis enjoyed making the sandcastle with the molds and began incorporating the items provided in the other bin. While Dennis was playing with sand he used his imagination and creativity, he engaged all his senses and was curious to dig and hide rocks in the sand and couple times he couldn't find it so he used his problem solving skill by asking me to help him find his rocks. The biggest challenge today was to try to keep sand in the bin but we were persistent and tried our best to not to loose any sand because that teaches responsibility and care for belongings. Overall, it was fun and enriching sensory play experience for Dennis!

World's book day is to encourage children and young people to discover the joys of reading and to appreciate the value of books. Our favorite book is The very hungry caterpillar by Eric Carl's. So first, we read the book followed by making the caterpillar out of egg cartons and some loose parts. While the boys were coloring the caterpillar I was thinking to creat some food using loose parts but they decided to read again and our caterpillars ended up being a helicopter rather then a butterfly so we took our helicopters outside. And ended our activity.

Yesterday I created the st. Patrick theme sensory bins along with some loose parts, mini dinosaurs and greens. My kiddos enjoyed it a lot we extended our play by bringing in some construction vehicles and spent lots of time playing. The only problem was we needed more coins So today I added more coin with green and gold color and they are so happy collecting all the coins and calling it treasure, money and coins. They enjoyed using magnifying glass, tongs and and scoops which was hard because coins were slipping.
