A La Vie Cares Success Story: Amanda’s Journey

Amanda was selected as La Vie Academy’s 2025 La Vie Cares Full Scholarship Recipient, and her journey is one we are incredibly proud to share.

Before finding La Vie Academy, Amanda’s life changed in an instant. After surviving a severe, life-threatening car accident, she was left with a brain injury that forced her to pause, heal, and reimagine what her future could look like.

During her recovery, Amanda discovered a passion for medical aesthetics — a field that felt empowering, meaningful, and full of possibility. But like many aspiring students, the financial commitment of training felt like a barrier she couldn’t overcome alone.

That is where La Vie Cares stepped in.

Through our full scholarship initiative, Amanda was awarded the opportunity to complete La Vie Academy’s Medical Aesthetics Program. From her online theory to her hands-on clinical practicum in Edmonton, Amanda showed incredible resilience, determination, and heart.

Reflecting on her experience, Amanda shared:

Today, Amanda is back home in Victoria, BC, working full-time as a certified medical aesthetics professional and building the career she once only imagined during her recovery.
