Hey Everyone! I am finally back to work after being off to tend to my son's needs and get him the proper supports in place for his ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and severe anxiety disorder. I am very excited to be working for a brand new Reggio inspired Preschool that just opened! I've been able to set up the room and add my Reggio and Nature Inspired flare to it! I'll be posting more moving forward and I hope you enjoy πŸ«ΆπŸ½πŸ’•πŸ‘‹πŸ½

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything. My last post was letting you know I was taking time off for my son needs from work. Guess what?! I'm heading back to work mid August as a preschool teacher and I am teaching solo in my class. I am excited to get back to what I love doing! Stay tuned for posts to follow 🫢🌱🌾πŸͺ΅

Hello all! I hope you are having a fabulous fall. Our weather has been so good to us!
I wanted to post an update. I haven't been posting for a while. I've been focusing on my 7 year old son who has ADHD. He got his diagnosis December 2022 and I've had to prioritize being a single mom with a neurodivergent son. I am currently not working and off on Family Caregiver Benefits so I can focus on his needs and get him the support he deserves. I may post here still once in a while and hope you keep following for when I get back into the swing of things. Much love and have a Beautiful day πŸ’› πŸ’™πŸ’œ

The children at work have been interested in chick's, eggs, and recently birds. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. We had baby chick's that hatched in an incubator, that started this interest. Now with the nice weather and getting outside longer, we have been hearing and sighting birds. Put together this sensory bin Friday for them.

Candy cane crushing with mortar and pestles. This is a practical life activity for the children that engages their senses and develops hand strength.
This led to scooping, pouring, mixing, smashing, dumping, etc. Then we brought in snow and made a candy cane sensory snow bin.

We have this amazing glue table at work! A blank wood board and all kinds of loose parts that we collect. Some may be broken so we add them to the mix. The kids love watching and making it evolve into a masterpiece 😁

I used our orange peels from snack and made this string of dried orange peels for our window. It's smells so good.

This made me so happy to set up today! I love when I can just go with the flow and create something inviting for our Preschoolers to explore. If I could do set ups all the time, I'd be in my glory πŸ₯°

It was my turn to plan for our Practical Life area this week. I set up this transferring of colored water with eye droppers and it was a big hit! This activity helps them develop fine motor development, hand-eye coordination and control, it enhances concentration, it promotes child creativity and imagination, it strengthens the finger muscles and prepares the hand for handwriting, and it promotes turn taking as well.
