Hi! I’m Andrew, I’ve been teaching piano lessons to children and adults since 2011 and studying music myself since I was 8 years old!

I have a Master's Degree in Musicology from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Music Degree from the King’s University, Level 10 RCM, a University Diploma in Church Music, training in piano pedagogy, choral conducting, organ performance and Kodály and Suzuki methodologies. My Master's thesis involved original research into the historical foundations of community music making in North America.

Music, learning and community building are my passions! I love helping students gain the skills they need to have a lifetime of joyful and fulfilling musical experiences. I enjoy guiding students of all ages into a deeper understanding of their own learning process: helping them become independent and empowered learners in every situation.

Outside of teaching, I use music to help family, friends and neighbours build community. My most well known project is the Caroling Cart that brings Christmas cheer to the Mill Woods and Meadows areas.

Carolling brothers spread Christmas cheer in Mill Woods As snow plows and graders are clearing city streets, a two-wheeled cart is bringing holiday cheer to residents of a southeast Edmonton neighbourhood.

The Caroling Cart is one of my favorite community music projects to organize! Check out Caroling Cart if you want to catch us as we travel around Mill Woods!

The Caroling Cart will be rolling through Meyokumin and Sakaw on Christmas Day!

Due to the extreme cold, we won't be able to stop for long, but if you wave to us out your window we'll wish you a merry Christmas before heading on our way! If you are on the parade route and want to make sure we don't miss you, send us a message with your address.

We will be sticking precisely to our parade route this year so if you want to bundle up or go for a drive you should be able to find us and take a picture with the cart.

**Parade Route: We will begin at the Mariner Square Condos (2024 57 St NW) in Meyokumin at 2pm. The Caroling Cart will then travel south on 57 St NW to 19a Ave NW. We will travel west on 19a Ave until it turns into 62 St NW. The Caroling Cart will then travel south on 62 St into Sakaw. When 62 St turns into 11a Ave NW we will follow it east. We will travel north on 56 St NW for one block and then east on 14 Ave NW. The Caroling Cart will then head north on 54 St NW. We will travel east on 17a Ave NW, and then north on 51 St NW. The Caroling Cart will then head west again on 18a Ave NW. The parade will end at 54 St NW and 19 Ave NW.**
