Do you have a child that is needing extra help this school year? Sign up for Cognitive Connections to pair your child with a high school to university aged mentor!

We meet online once a week to play some group games and have children meet with their mentor to work on homework together, completely free of cost!

Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer experience?

Cognitive Connections offers an enriching yet low-commitment volunteer opportunity as an online tutor for K-6 students. Participants assist students with homework help, play educational games, and interact with other students and mentors in a completely online format!

With no prior tutoring experience necessary, being a Mentor provides great practice for future educators or participants who enjoy working with children and academic settings.

Aaaand we’re back! We hope you all had a lovely summer and good transition back into school! Check out below for some changes to this year’s sessions:

Kindergarten to grade 3 students will have sessions on Mondays from 6-7pm.
Grade 4 to grade 6 students will have sessions on Wednesdays from 6-7pm.

Mentors are able to sign-up now until October 1st. We will alert via social media and email when student applications have opened.

Happy Dragon Boat Festival to all our friends and followers who celebrate!

In East Asian culture, the dragon is a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. In China, we celebrate this special holiday by eating “zongzi”, or sticky rice dumplings. Did you know that they are wrapped in bamboo leaves?
