We've been busy at Mount Pleasant Daycare. The Preschool room has been learning about their colours and sorting! Look at them working together to build their colour train!

The Toddler room has been working on their fine motor skills and practicing their filling, scooping and pouring! These skills are important for developing hand movements with what they are seeing and feeling.

Hasn't this weather been amazing?! The children have enjoyed getting outside all week and embracing this gorgeous weather we've been having. It's good for children's health and well-being to be physically active and getting fresh air on a daily basis!

What can you paint with the animals? What sounds do they make?

We had so much fun today exploring with paint! Sensory experiences inspire children's curiosity and allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity.

Painting is a way for children to do many important things: share ideas, express emotions, use their senses, explore colors and create a master piece! Our children were busy getting messy this week and painting with food!

Early literacy skills are important skills to learn, it is never too early to plant the seed!
