🌟 Meet the Instructor 🌟
“Beautiful Beast”, aka Darren Peacock is the manager, creator & leader of the freestyle rap collective “Jung Kings”. Darren’s musical diversity includes a history of singing in punk, ska, metal and r n’ b bands, as well as beat production in drum and bass & Hiphop. Though a poet at heart, Darren has been advocating for and creating visual arts, music, fiction and poetry as a member of the Edmonton arts community in various forms for over 25 years.

🌟 Meet the Instructor 🌟
Candace Berlinguette is an Amiskwacîwâskahikan Edmonton-based actor, producer, and teacher. Selected acting credits include: E-Day (Theatre Network’s Performance Series/The Serial Collective), Reality Crack (Vibrate Productions/Edmonton International Fringe Festival, Westbury-Fringe Holdover Series) Sterling Award for Outstanding Fringe Performance in a Drama, Sterling nomination for Outstanding Fringe Production and New Work, Bug (Bleviss Laboratory Theatre), Murderers Confess at Christmastime (Theatre Network’s Performance Series and Toronto’s Summerworks Festival), Sterling nomination for Actor in a Supporting Role, Mump and Smoot in Something (Play The Fool Festival, Yukon Arts Centre, Sudbury Theatre Centre, and The Cultch). Candace has taught multiple acting classes at Grindstone and is excited for Drama Discovery.

Grindstone Theatre is seeking instructors for our Theatre School Classes, Camps and Workshops! We are looking for someone with experience in teaching, performing and general theatre knowledge. This job will include being a key holder, developing and following a curriculum, managing your classroom and students, and creating a 30-60 minute final production to be performed at The Grindstone Theatre. The Grindstone Theatre School classes typically run for 8 weeks with a final showcase.

The Grindstone Theatre School holds classes for all ages, and we are seeking instructors for all ages. Our kid’s classes range from 5-12, teens from 13-17 and 18+.

We are currently looking for instructors for the following classes:

9-12: Improv for Kids

7-12: Homeschool Drama Discovery

We are also looking for new and original classes! If you have a skill you believe students would be interested in learning, please send us your pitch!
