This month we were able to go on our holiday to Portugal which we have been planning for several years.
It cost approximately $8000 dollars for the two of us to spend 8 full days in Portugal.
We saved approximately $4000 dollars in hotels and flight costs through credit card points.
We spent $1681 in Flight taxes and seat selection
-$2600 in daily Excursions on a wine tour, boat rides, a walking tour, a food tour and private transport from Lisbon to Porto with three stops along the way, private transport to Pena Palace and Cascais.
-$200/day on food and restaurants
-$896 in transportation between Bolt rides, train, car rental, gas and a tuktuk ride
-$65 for phone/data
-$100 in Souvenirs
-$200 in miscellaneous and airport food.

A great video about group RESP that you should watch before opening up one!
We have one that worked ok but only because we were able to continue to contribute regularly. The fees aren't great. The returns aren't great and I can teach you how to open up your own DIY RESP instead!!

Budget Update!
We spent some money on Fathers day restaurants that we didn't budget for, might have to consider including that in our sinking funds for next year.
We have been saving up for a year to do renovations on a bathroom, so this month we started purchasing the big items like a shower, tub, vanity and wardrobe. Follow my IG stories for a play by play of the renos.
We ended up having some A/C issues with a vehicle and other maintenance type of issues that cost more than our monthly amount that we set aside. Some months we overspend and others we underspend in this area. Might consider using my EQ car maintenance fund a bit more consistently for these expenses.
What is your July budget looking like?
We are going on a big vacation for ten days for just the two of us and have been saving for the past year and a half for it.
We also set aside money in our sinking funds for a yearly small family vacation to either go camping or to the city.
