🍂🦃 Little Hands, Big Creations! 🍁🎨

🍁🎨 Our little artists enjoyed creating their Thanksgiving cards using crayons, stickers, and pre-cut shapes! They practised fine motor skills, pencil grip, concentration, decision-making, and explored the sticky texture of glue. ❤️
The joy and pride in their little creations made this activity extra special! 🥰

🍂 Fall Leaf Confetti! 🍁

Today we brought some of the beautiful colours of fall to our table! The children explored leaves in different shades of yellow, red, and green and used star and circle hole punchers to turn them into colourful little leaf confetti. ⭐️⭕️

The little ones were so excited to see the shapes appear from the leaves! For some, holding the leaf and pressing the puncher at the same time was a little challenging, so I helped hold the leaf while they did the pressing. Their little faces lit up each time a star or circle popped out. 🥰

This simple activity was a wonderful fine-motor workout—strengthening those little hand muscles, building hand-eye coordination, practising grasp and pressure, and encouraging concentration and persistence.

🐛🌿 A Little Backyard Discovery!

Today, one of our little explorers spotted a tiny green caterpillar during outdoor play! Everyone gathered around to take a closer look and observe this little creature.

So much excitement from such a tiny discovery! 💚 We talked about looking closely, being gentle with living things, and caring for nature.

Sometimes the best learning moments are the ones we find right in our own backyard. 🌱🐛✨

🌼🎨 Marigold Flower Painting — Child-Led Art

Today was such a beautiful, sunny day, and the children were eager to paint outdoors! ☀️

I asked them, “Would you like to paint with brushes, leaves, or flowers?” They excitedly chose flowers! 🌼

We picked a few marigolds from our garden, chose our favourite colours, and let the creativity flow. 🎨

No rules, no right or wrong—just open-ended painting, imagination, and lots of fun! 💛

A simple activity that encouraged creativity, fine-motor skills, decision-making, and self-expression. 🌼🎨

🍂🔤 Fall Alphabet Sensory Bin! 🍁

Today we combined sensory play with alphabet letter recognition! Our fall-themed bin was filled with beans, colorful leaves, acorns, and alphabet letters from A–Z. 🌿🫘🍁

The toddlers enjoyed scooping, pouring, and transferring the beans between containers while exploring different textures and colors.

Our prechoolers used toddler tongs to find the hidden letters and match them to the alphabet chart—turning sensory play into a fun early-literacy activity! 🔤❤️

So much learning packed into one simple invitation to play—fine-motor skills, color recognition, sorting, coordination, sensory exploration, and letter recognition! 🍂😊

🐞 Backyard Discovery! 🌿

Our little group is completely obsessed with ladybugs! Today, they spotted a few in the backyard, and suddenly we heard, “Come, come! I found a ladybug! Ladybug for everyone!” 🥰
Everyone rushed over, excited to spot and gently catch the little ladybugs. Such a simple backyard moment turned into so much excitement, curiosity, and nature exploration! ❤️🐞

🍂 Fall Leaf Peg Activity 🍂

Today we brought a little bit of fall indoors! The girls used colorful fabric leaves and clothe pegs to hang the leaves on a string. 🍁

For our 3-year-olds, opening and placing the pegs was a little challenging at first, but they kept trying—and loved doing it again and again! ❤️
A simple activity that gave them lots of practice with their fine motor skills, pincer grip, hand strength, coordination, and concentration. 👐🍂
Learning through play, one little leaf at a time! 🍁✨

🍅🌱 Our final garden harvest of the season!

With colder nights and freezing temperatures ahead, today was the perfect sunny day to clear out our garden and pick the last of our tomatoes. ☀️

The kids were curious about the green tomatoes, so we talked about how they can continue ripening indoors and turn orange. 🍅

Such a fun, hands-on learning experience — from watching our food grow to harvesting and learning how we can save it for the colder season! 💚🍂
