πŸ’¦πŸ§Έ Open-Ended Water Play Fun β˜€οΈ

Today I set up a simple invitation to play using dolls, boats, brushes, and water, then let the girls take the lead. Their imagination quickly took over!

They used the boats to rescue the dolls, then extended their play by giving the dolls a bath with the brushes. Soon after, they decided to clean the entire backyard play area, rearrange the structures, and continue with lots of pouring, scooping, and water exploration.

This child-led activity kept them happily engaged for a long time while staying cool on a hot day. β˜€οΈπŸ’¦

Today during our outdoor play, the girls discovered a tent caterpillar and were filled with excitement! There were so many "oohs" and "aahs" as we carefully observed how it moved, counted its many legs, and noticed the different segments on its body.

The children thoughtfully created a little habitat by clearing some grass and making a safe space for their tiny visitor. This hands-on nature experience sparked curiosity, wonder, and kindness toward living things πŸ’šπŸ›πŸƒ
