I highly recommend Sey Education if you're looking for some French learning. She offers kids online classes on the weekend and is providing me with weekly lessons for Quinn. It's engaging and enjoyable.

We have Madison doing some free piano lessons with Hoffman Academy . She asked me to take a picture of her form to send her teacher. Hahaha. I don't think she quite understands that they are premade videos she's watching.

I think that schooling happens all the time and anywhere. Even playing a board game can be beneficial. We played Stuffed Fables and it was really good. I recommend it if you're looking for a story based game.

This is the setup I use at work. The girls have their own office space with their own things in it. They are comfortable and able to work or play.

Biome dioramas are in full swing! Art and Science come together for a project that kids actually want to do.

When life turns things upside down, just remember that you can still have things your way. I started working with my dad full time, but I didn't want to give up homeschooling. So I didn't!! What an experience it's been for my girls to watch a business work. They're learning things you would never be able to in school.

I did a Nanny McCluckins chick hatching experience this year. So far all we did was add water and candled the eggs periodically.

Today we heard some chirping!!! The eggs are starting to hatch and we're all super excited.

Ok, I've been busy working full time and building a business outside of our home, but it's time to get back to our journey. Everything I'm doing now is more important than ever to get out there. Maybe I can help a struggling parent going through the same thing.

We have found that a routine of doing school first thing in the morning is the easiest. Everyone is fresh faced and ready to go. Someday's we get started right away, and some days school gets interrupted: the office phone rings, we have to run out to pick up parts because nobody else can, an employee has an issue and needs to speak with me, etc. The trick I've found is to have educational toys and games around for them to play with when I'm busy. That way, they can do what they want and they're still learning.

Today was a quick meeting about the agenda of the day, so the girls kept themselves busy with this great Melissa & Doug magnetic box. Learning to put things together correctly is a skill that is overlooked too often.

Our Thanksgiving wreath is done!! It's a lot harder to glue the leaves in a circle than I thought. The whole family participated in saying what we are thankful for. What a great project to do, thank you Schoolio
