St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School

Even though it was a rainy day, we had a great turn out for our new playground soft opening. It was wonderful to see the kids and families playing and enjoying the park!

Exciting news! Our new playground is complete. Families are invited to join us for a soft opening on Tuesday, August 11th at 2 pm. See you there!

Today we celebrated our amazing St Pius X Staff and recognized the hard work and dedication they have shown to our school community this year. We also took time to say farewell to those staff who are moving on to new adventures next year- Ms. Fielden, Ms. Shakura, Mrs. Alefiya, Ms. Seefried, Ms. Philips, Mr. Ghirish, and Ms. Cate. We wish you all the best in your new positions and we know you will continue to share your light with all those you meet along the way. To all our staff- enjoy your well deserved summer break!

It’s been an exciting June at St. Pius X! From PATs, to Fitset Ninja, to field trips, to Fun Day our staff and students have been busy. Last week, we took some time to come together as a school community to give thanks for the amazing school year we shared. We also honoured our grade 6 students as they will be moving on to junior high next year. We are so proud of the exceptional leaders they have become over the last year and can’t wait to see them continue to grow!

Today our students participated in a Living Rosary. What a beautiful way to come together as a school community!

Grade 1 spent time this week exploring measurement through hands on learning experiences. They especially loved making “playdough snakes”!
