Do you want to know what my secret weapon is in my studio? What aids me most in helping my students?? The fact that I’m a student too!!

As I work towards increasing my qualifications every year ... I know what it’s like to be a student!! I understand the things they feel as they work through new challenges. I have a teacher too!!! And I get it!!

I’m able to bring a level of empathy into my studio and meet my students “where they are at”. I can spot things .... because I go through them too.

Lifelong learning keeps our minds sharp - our teaching nimble and relevant!!

Everyone- this is our wonderful piano student of the month- Alex!! One day Alex wants to be the first astronaut to take a piano to space 😜. I relish her enthusiasm and super cheery personality!! A few fun things about Alex:

1. Favourite school subject: art.
2. Favourite candy: candy belts.
3. Desired superpower: to be able to fly 🦸‍♀️
4. Favourite piece to play on the piano: Swan Lake.
5. Favourite part of piano lessons: being with my teacher.

GAMES! Bringing games into lessons is a fantastic way to help students reinforce their learning! They see the concepts in a different - FUN way that helps them STICK!! My students enjoy spending some time with games - learning notes, theory, rhythm, You name it!

Not to mention - if there is a student who has the wiggles - this gets them off the bench and doing something different.

To all of my wonderful piano families- I wish you a joy filled holiday season full of laughter, memories, and beautiful music!

Every one meet our “student of the month”... Victoria. Victoria is a wonderful student- who givers her all each class .. and has a beautiful singing voice 😊. I’m so blessed to be able to spend time with her on her musical journey. Some fun facts:
