Hi there! My name is D'Ani van der Put and I have been teaching piano for over six years. My students have ranged in age from three years to adult and have learned at both beginner and intermediate levels. As a teacher, my philosophy is that music lessons should always be a positive, confidence-building experience. Consequently, I have developed a student-directed approach focused on meeting students' individual needs, interests, and time-constraints. I believe in teaching for the students, and not for the textbooks.
My background is in classical piano and advanced music theory with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and I am currently minoring in Music Education at the University of Alberta.
Lessons are available online inter-provincially or in person near the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton.
