Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and their families and communities. We recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system and the responsibility we all share in advancing reconciliation.

Within Canada’s aviation industry, reconciliation also calls on us to consider how we create meaningful opportunities, strengthen relationships, and remove barriers for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

At Elevate Aviation, we remain committed to creating more inclusive pathways into aviation and supporting Indigenous youth and communities through mentorship, connection, and opportunities within the sector.

Today is a day to listen, learn, reflect, and recognize that reconciliation requires continued action.

Our Aircraft Service Technician program doesn’t just take place in a classroom.

The FREE 8-week Aircraft Service Technician (AST) program includes valuable on-the-job training for 3 of the 8 weeks, allowing participants the opportunity to experience hands-on learning, mentorship, and earn a CCAA certificate.

Take a look behind-the-scenes into this cohort’s lockwire practice! Lockwire is a crucial tool used in aviation to prevent fasteners like bolts, nuts, and screws from loosening due to intense vibration.

On-the-job training leaves learners with more confidence and an improved resume to set them up for success in their job search.

Enjoy working with your hands, seeing how things work, and love a problem-solving challenge? At no cost, why not give our AST program a try? Learn more or apply by commenting “AST INFO” to get the link sent straight to your messages!

Not every aviation career starts with the same pathway.

While some pathways focus on building foundational aviation knowledge, others help emerging talent develop role-specific skills for the career they want to pursue. Through Aviation Fusion, participants can access different training and development opportunities to help them take their next step in the industry.

Elevate Aviation's FAST program combines workplace essential skills with specialized aviation training, allowing participants to choose between two streams: Customer Service Agent or Flight Attendant.

The program helps participants build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue opportunities in their chosen area of aviation, recognizing that being prepared for the workplace can look different depending on the role and employer.

The next FAST program starts October 13.
