Today we have members of the STARR University of Alberta Rocketry Research Team teaching our Grade 3s about  rockets. 🚀

June 12 is coming fast! Here is a peek at the Picnic in the Park schedule:

4:00pm - 4:50pm - Bike Decoration Station, Petting Zoo, food trucks and activities

5:00pm - 5:20pm - Bike Parade

Petting Zoo, food trucks and activites run during the whole event from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating our Grade 9s last night. We are so proud of all of you and wish you all the best as you close your time here at Bessie Nichols and go off to new adventures in High School. Go be amazing!

Our Picnic in the Park is just a few weeks away! We look forward to seeing many of you on June 12 between 4:00-7:00 for food, fun, and community!

There are no classes from Wednesday, May 27 to Friday, May 29 for a Professional Development (PD) Day, a Teachers’ Day in Lieu and a Board Approved Non-instructional Day.
Classes resume Monday, June 1.

We had a great time celebrating and thanking all of our amazing volunteers who help make our school a special place to be. Parents, grandparents, community members and other caregivers gathered in our library today while our Kinders and Grade 3 choir sang, while our Grade 5s served and offered babysitting, and while we had a chance to show our appreciation. Thank you for coming to our Volunteer Tea!
