How do I know my goaltender is actually improving, not just attending?

It's a fair question. A lot of camps focus on drills without a clear plan behind them. Ours doesn't. Since 1986, Gold in the Net has built its camps around one goal: helping goaltenders develop real game confidence they can carry into the season, with coaching that's structured and specific to where they're at.

That's also why our camps run a full 5 days, while most camps in the area run 3. More time on the ice means more time to actually build and reinforce the habits that stick.

Huge congratulations to the Red Deer U18AAA Sutter Fund Chiefs on winning a NATIONAL title. We are so proud of GITN Alberta instructor Cam Sieben, who coached this group all the way to the top as their goalie coach.

We’re incredibly proud that GITN Alberta instructor Cam Sieben has been part of this team’s journey as their goalie coach this season - and even more excited to share that goaltender Brylee Hull was named tournament MVP. Brylee will be joining us as a goalie coach at our Alberta summer camps this year, and moments like this are exactly why.

The Chiefs now host the Pacific Regional Championship, with the winner advancing to the Esso Cup to compete for a national title. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.

🥅 Meet Liam McGarva - GITN Edmonton’s New Head Instructor!

Liam brings competitive playing experience - including a KIJHL Championship and Provincial title in 2019 - along with coaching experience at the minor hockey level with MLAC U16 AA and Ozaukee Minor Hockey.

What he loves most about coaching? Sharing his passion for hockey with young goalies and watching their progression in real time. That’s exactly the kind of coach we want behind the net. Oh - and he’s a proficient juggler. So there’s that. 🤹
