Home Away From Home

We are still looking to fill a few spaces if you know of anyone interested! We are also offering drop in care for November and December if you need a day to clean, buy presents, or prepare for guests.

Did you know that all eligible family members in the home are fully vaccinated? We don’t require children in care to be vaccinated when the time arises but we have taken the steps to hopefully avoid the spread of Covid. We wash toys often and spray sanitizing Lysol on places like door k***s, light switches, and cabinet handles.

We can do hard things! We really try and foster the children’s learning and growth through play. In this case, attaching the train track was difficult and was making the child frustrated! In continuing to try, the child learned great life skills and emotional regulation. I try not to step in unless it’s very necessary, he didn’t need me and figured it out himself!

If you want to be in costume during lunch, I encourage that! Costumes can be washed and the memories last forever.

On this day we started a project and enjoyed seeing it from start to finish. We mixed the dough ingredients, shaped it with our hands and tools (the most fun part!), baked it, and ate it! The children enjoy seeing the parts come together and we all love the tasting parts. Yum!

It’s always fun to add new elements to sensory play like play dough! Here the child was shaping the dough into hills and valleys to race over.

🚗Sherwood Park is 15 mins away, Fort Saskatchewan is 20 mins, and we are 20 mins from the Royal Alex Hospital.

🚗We are walking distance from Fraser Elementary for all Before and After School care.
