Edenwold Early Years & Youth Centre Welcome to the Edenwold Early Years & Youth Centre The children and educators at the EEYYC are co-learners in the exploration of projects.

At the Edenwold Early Years & Youth Centre we know children develop and learn best with hands on experiences through play and exploration. Our program practices emergent curriculum, allowing the interests of the children to determine the learning content. The program allows children the opportunity to make choices about their activities, fostering independence and creative experience. We recognize

children as competent learners and need respect to holistic development and learning areas – social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual. Free play occurs for a substantial portion of the day both indoors and outdoors with supervision used as an educational interaction. We strive to provide the children with strong positive relationships with our staff and other peers. All Early Childhood Educators (ECE’s) of the EEYYC provide the children with a stimulating and dynamic environment that fosters their learning and development. The EEYYC understands the rights of each child in our care. Our program respects the individuality of each child and adaptations are made in the schedule and activities to meet individual needs. All children including those with intensive needs will be included within early learning environment and the regular activities of the group. The EEYYC program is based on developmentally appropriate practice of each child being mindful of all underlying values of parents and caregivers of the children in our care.

After a snow filled May Long weekend… things are taking a turn for the better with our plants arriving EARLY!!!

Our plants will be delivered and ready to go home TOMORROW – Wednesday May 20th!!!

Pick up @ Edenwold Hall between 3:00pm-6:00pm!

The Board of Directors would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of our Early Childhood Educators for the incredible care, dedication, and energy you bring to the daycare each and every day.

Yesterday was ECE Appreciation Day, a wonderful opportunity to recognize the important role you play in the lives of the children and families we serve. Your patience, creativity, and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for the positive impact you make in our community.

This year, the day felt even more special as we also celebrated our Director, Brandy’s birthday. We are thankful for everything she brings to the Centre and were glad to celebrate her alongside such an important day.

While ECE Day is a meaningful moment of recognition, the Board of Directors believes that your hard work deserves more than just one day of appreciation. That’s why we are excited to celebrate you throughout the entire month, with weekly treats as a small token of our gratitude for all that you do.

Thank you again to all of our ECE staff for the meaningful work you do. You are the heart of our daycare, and we appreciate you not just on ECE Day, but every day.
